CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Chairman

Dinesh Goyal

Dear Parents and Students,

At the outset my greetings and gratitude to you from the entire SASJ family for your steady partnership with us.

We are going through an unprecedented global predicament today. Each one of us and the entire world is affected by the coronavirus pandemic; our families, our communities, and our entire way of life are adversely affected by the fear of infection and contagion. In these trying times, I would like to share your anxiety and express solidarity with you and your family.

The global catastrophe has forced a lot of changes to how we live and work. Families across the world are adapting to the evolving changes in daily life caused by the Covid 19 pandemic. As individuals, we’ve had to make changes-both big and small to our everyday lives.

The pandemic crisis has accelerated the pace of digital transformation, with further expansion in e-commerce, video conferencing, online teaching, remote working, and telemedicine. The schools had arguably made the biggest jump, going from its traditional chalk and blackboard normal to a new normal of a fully digitized virtual classroom experience. We at Shanti Asiatic consciously support innovation and keep a focus on education’s ever-changing landscape as it moves into the future. We are in agreement with the fact that the children need to be trained to see the good in everything and adapt to the change. Positivity is a choice and lets me assure you that it is the best as the happiness in your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

It reminds me of the song by ‘Blind Melon’ which is about recognizing the times in life when it is necessary to make a change — “AND WHEN YOUR DEEPEST THOUGHTS ARE BROKEN, KEEPS ON DREAMING BOY’. When things are forbidding, a pivotal change is required. That is why it is said —when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

If we look at positivity in this crisis, we will be amazed to note the strength of our age-old time-tested traditional practices, such as frequently washing hands or greeting each other by way of Namaste. Many of us, in our own small ways, have reconnected with something that is increasingly lost in hectic modern life such as doing most of the things ourselves and realizing how satisfying and fulfilling that can be. Many city dwellers have noticed an improvement in their urban environment. To this extent, one can see a reverse in running from a small town to the metro. People are finding solace in the slow pace of hills and smaller towns.

I am confident that all of us will pass through the pandemic and come out as a better society and a stronger system in the next few months.

Finally, I wish that everyone stays well and strong.

With all good wishes

Dinesh Goyal
